My alma mater's latest Alumni News features no fewer than five California Norbertines.
Four of us are mentioned as progressing in our commitment to the religious life. My classmate (2002), Sr. Mary Oda Tilley, and I made solemn profession of religious vows. I was ordained deacon last month. And two of our first year novices, Frater Joshua Allen and Frater Simeon Goodwin, now in the thick of their new apostolic duties in our summer camp (where all boys have fun) get honorable mention.
Fr. Sebastian Walshe has an inspiring reflection on his encounters with Pope Blessed John Paul II, and a summary of the teaching of Ordinatio Sacerdotalis.
Some photos from my experience at the Beatification of that same Blessed find their way into the pages.
I'm also pleasantly surprised to see this blog listed on the Alumni page of the College's website.
As long as we're in the neighborhood, this is a good time to congratulate two other college classmates of mine, newly ordained Fr. Nick Blaha and Fr. Joseph Dygert.
